Choose Videographer on Personality and Style

In 2009, brides will definitely be more focused on price than in recent years. It’s fine to scale back and have a small intimate affair, or to make your own wedding favors. But there’s one thing that you shouldn’t skimp on - your wedding video.

A great wedding video will be cherished for years by you and your future generations. Choosing a wedding videographer solely on price can result in major disappointment and not just after the video has been delivered.

Just like your photographer, you want to be able to get along with your videographer. You’re going to be spending some time with them on your wedding day so you should make sure that your personalities click. Also make sure that they have a level of professionalism that you are comfortable with.

Each wedding videographer has his or her own style of shooting and editing. Check out their sample videos and make sure that you like their style. Does it move you? Does it bring tears to your eyes? Do you want your video to be just like it?

Not every videographer is right for every couple. Choose the videographer that has the personality and style that fits your personality and style.

Megan & Bill - Loyola College & Baltimore Museum of Industry

November 15, 2008
Megan and Bill's ceremony was in the chapel on the Loyola College, Baltimore, Maryland campus. The reception was at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. I really like how they had arranged the museum for the reception. They had hors d'oerve stations placed throughout the museum and staff members on hand to answer any questions the guests might have. They even fired up the machine shop with all its belts and pulleys.

The photographer was Kyle from Kyle Bergner Photography. I have worked with her before and I was glad to do so again, she is a talented photographer. I think that we are able to work well together because we both put the couple at the center of our attention. We didn't battle each other for position because we both know that photo and video are very different final products. It allowed for us to both ply our art to the best we could for the couple, and I think our final products will reflect that in the end.

Also, this crowd was very active on the dance floor. They got down from the first dance until after the band quit playing. It was a lot of fun, and I wish Megan and Bill all the best.
